Smile 3 Gallon nano Acrylic journal

So my girlfriend bought me this tank

The light wasnt what i needed and it really hindered me putting an HOB on it.
So i did a lil modding and changed the light to a CFL and laid out my substrate(CaribSea Floramax) put a lil slope on it and this what i had.

After getting all that settled in i decided on going with HC and Dwarf hairgrass as my plants put in my order at aquariumplants.com 2 days later i had my plants

Dwarf Hairgrass

HC(sorry imageshack kept timing out)

well i let those acclimate and get a lil light and CO2. then got started on planting today and this is what i have to show for it.

Im very happy with this being my first attempt at a Nano so ill be sure to keep you all update as it grows or doesnt haha

Hey I was thinking about ordering some potted HC, but I didn't know how I would plant it... I saw that you did, but how did you do it??? Sorry if my question sounds stupid, but I'm new to planted tanks xD

i just cut off the bottom 3/4 of the rock wool and kinda pulled gently and untangled stems and used tweezers to secure HC in the substrate

Good start! After a while your tank will start to look like this http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...0/IMG_0014.jpg
How many watts is you light? Are you doing diy co2?

Red face

The configuration of the rocks is an obvious phallic symbol.

Smoke 'em if you got 'em.

Lets be honest here, they all are. I'm looking forward to seeing this one grow in a bit.
