Another shot at an underwater garden. 2.5 gal.

This is my second attempt at this 2.5 gallon tank. My first attempt is here

https://www.plantedtank.net/forums/pl...takgarden.html

It ended with half the water being evaporated out, soooo much hair algea, little bug things crawling all over everywhere, poop and a major amount of snails. So today I had some time and figured lets redo this bad man and make it the tank ive always wanted!

So on to the pictures. Ive saved all the glosso from the old tank that was healthy and put it in this tank infront of the drift wood. My last problem with the glosso was that it just kept growing up. If it keeps doing that oh well ill have a thick patch infront of the drift wood. I want to put some kinda moss on the drift wood (java, christmas, flame) but with this being a low tech tank I dont want something that wont survive.

And other then that thats all I have planned for plant wise. So the right side of the tank is a blank canvass that I need help with! so use those MS paint skills and give me some ideas! haha or just give me some ideas in general haha.

Glosso seems to be nice and green and growing well. (Crappy picture. All of it is as green as the middle ones are)

Plant glosso deeper.
Trim it down and plant deeper, much deeper.

my glosso is looking similar, should it just be shoved down more? or should we trim and replant?

Well im gonna be honest here. Growth is growth. This is about the greenest looking glosso ive had. So why cut disturb it. Granted its not doing what its suppost to do (carpet) Im not complaining. I just wanna figureout what to put in the blank side of the tank haha

the deeper glosso is buried (with a little bit of leaf cover exposed) the tighter and thicker it grows in.

Ahh well looks like Im pushing it down then! haha. I need a reason to bury it deeper if I was going to. And that right there is my reason hah.
