Nice start. It's looking very nice, and you've got a real nice mix of reds and greens. The driftwood is great, and I'm loving that little spread of glosso. I'm sure that you'll have a nice little carpet in time. Just keep on top of your parameters to avoid the pesky algae that many of us experience eventually. My 10 gallon is tough to maintain constantly, but it's worth all the work. Good luck!

About the HC and Glosso:
I am concerned that one will outcompete the other. If your glosso likes the aquarium it will probably win. I dunno... I'm no expert on the subject of plant competition.

Looks nice already, that is quite a bit of diversity in such a little tank.

My tank sucks now

Time for an update! Its been a little over a week since the last picture, and theres been some good growth. 25RCS going in tomorrow.

Moss is spreading.

Plants getting pretty tall.

Cool how the tips close up every night.

Shot from right side of tank.

Glosso is spreading. HC not doing so great- some death/new growth.

Full tank shot.

Thumbs up

Nice tank! Great job! But with a lot of those fast growing stem plants you are going to end up with a weekly trimming nightmare. I went through the same thing on my 10 gallon. That is why if I set up another 10 gallon, I would stick to slow growing and carpet plants and use some floating plants in the beginning for cycling and balancing issues.
