Nano Tank Suggestions Please

Good morning, I have decided that I want a planted Nano at my office. I'd like to have it fully covered on top to prevent escapees. The footprint can't be any wider than 17" in the width, it could be any length or height. I'd also like the filtration/equipment to be either in the middle of the tank or hidden in the top somehow as I'd like to be able to view aquascaping from all sides. I will be aquascaping with cuttings from my home tanks, (I can either go high or low-light) and I will be keeping shrimp (Amano, Cherry Red, possibly an Orange Rilli group) & snails along with a Badis badis & an Endler's Livebearer trio. I'd like to know if any of you have any brand/model # suggestions for a Nano tank on the market which will fit nicely with these preferences. Also, if you have experienced any drawbacks with any of the popular models I'd like to know which to steer clear of. Thank you!

This seems to fit the bill.

Finnex Low-Iron Nano. I have the 7.5g, comes with Planted+ light and glass lid. 12x12 footprint, and the glass is crystal clear.

Thanks for the suggestions. I should clarify that it has to be less than 17" wide, I have unlimited length & height to work with. What do you all think of the Fluval Edge 12 gallon?
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005ZU6GYO/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DERIt's dimensions are 22.2" x 17" x 14.3". I really like the look, it will go nicely in my Office. But what I'm concerned about is whether or not the biological filtration and oxygen levels are sufficient for the shrimp. Also, where does the heater go?

just something to consider.
I don't know what kind of "office" you mean, but if we're talking large office building kind of office, you'll need to keep in mind that any automatic timers on the lights (or just regular open and close hours) in the office itself may affect the light saturation your tank will get. Just a possible complication.

Thanks BlackTetra, that is something to consider as our Office overhead lights are on 10 & 1/2 hours a day 5 days a week. I am really leaning heavily to the Edge 12 gallon, but I have no experience with substrate heaters. Has anyone tried any of these? http://www.amazon.com/Hydor-50w-Hydrokable-Substrate-Heater/dp/B0006JLPGS/ref=pd_bxgy_petsupplies_img_y with one of these to run them: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006JLPEA/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DERI'm wondering what types of mods I'd have to make to keep cabling/cording from detracting from the minimalist look of the edge.
