Snails on plants

Got my order of plats today. They have a bunch of snails attached to them. Is there way to kill them off without harming the plants?

30 Gallon - Community Tank
7.9 Gallon Fluval Flora Planted
240 Gallon Mnuba African Cichlids

Copper based formulas are designed to kill invertebrates. I always go with vinegar and water mix dip

Potassium permanganate is a snail killer extraordinaire.

If you only want dwarf puffers then yes they will work. When I got mine they ate all the snails in 2 days. Probably 100 plus snails lol.

Hi 3791eidde,

+1 for CPD's comment on copper based dips; however it will not kill snail eggs and a very thorough rinsing is needed if the plants will be going in a tank with shrimp or invertebrates.
