10 Gallon

Hey guys. I just put my 10 gallon project in "general discussion", but I think that it's a little more appropriate here. Take a look at my tank and tell me what you think. I'm having a little problem with my DIY CO2, and I was wondering if pressurized is too much for a 10 gallon. I just want the stability and reliability of a pressurized system, but I think that it might be a little bit overkill for this tank.

The link to my thread is in my signature below. Thanks in advance for the help everybody!

Pressurized CO2 can be dialed in on any tank. Many people here (including myself) run pressurized setups on 10g tanks.

Yeah, I have been thinking about it for a while. I have a CO2 regulator from way back that isn't in use. I think that I'll make the switch from DIY to pressurized eventually. I know that I'll need to acquire a needle valve, bubble counter, CO2 tank, and some good glass ware for inside the tank. It's just that I've pretty much wiped out my aquarium budget for this year setting the thing up!

As far as DIY goes, do you think that one 64 ounce reactor adds enough CO2? I get roughly 1 to 2 bubbles every third or fourth second in my ghetto bubble counter. I don't really know how to test my CO2 levels, but I have a feeling that my current output just isn't cutting it. I was thinking about either adding another reactor to my current setup or just start dosing some excel as a liquid carbon supplement. What do you think?

I run 3 bps on my 10g. Your current output is likely to be well below 30ppm. Find a drop checker and some 4dkH solution.
