Need ideas and would like to buy stuff...

Hello all!

I have not been on here in a while and since then both of my tanks were shut down... and i moved houses...

Well my wife made me a deal this last week... if i take her to Orlando for the weekend before she goes back to work from baby leave. If I do this i can set up my 5 gal tank again...

And this is what is up... I would like to set up my 5 gal tank that i used to have skrimps in...

Any ideas on what i should do? When it was last set up i had dwarf hair grass that did awesome along with a few other plants. I would like this to be a simple tank with maybe some shrimp and fish. I would like to buy some plants/fish/shrimps from someone local or on this site and not a box store...

Hey. There's a guy on craigslist in our area who sells Shrimp for a good price. I bought some from him not to long ago and plan on making another purchase in a few days I hope (trying to set up a new 20g with Dwarf Hair Grass for shrimp) other than that. Plants and stuff I usually go to a store near my home (Im in Brandon btw)

The first thing to do would be to setup the tank as per your liking and leave it for cycling. Introduce the shrimps only after the tank is completely cycled.

5 gallons would be small and unstable. at least 10 gallons.

It'll take a month, generally, to get your tank stable and cycled, so you have plenty of time.
