CO2 Required for my setup?

Hi guys, I've been lurking for a while and soaking up the goodness that is around, but I hope you can shed some light on my setup for me.

I've got a 20L (5 Gal) Arcadia Arc tank with 2 x Arc Pod 9W lights.

It's a fairly heavily planted tank with Hygrophila Polysperma, Straight Vallis and Anubius nana occupying approximately a third of it. I've just added some hairgrass to carpet the substrate and it's nicely spread out in little clumps.

Basically my question is to do with a CO2 system. I've read on other forums that having such a small tank with such a large Watts/Gallons ratio (3.6 Watts per Gallon) and a CO2 deficiency would encourage algae growth since the algae can adapt to those conditions but the flora can't!

But I want the light to help the Hairgrass grow nicely, so would a miniature CO2 system be beneficial?

At eighteen watts over five gallons, you won't need CO2. It wouldn't hurt, though. Algae will not be out of control at that watt/gallon ratio.

Thanks for the reply. I'll stick with what I've got and consider CO2 at some point in the future
