Mr. Aqua 12 gallon long

So here's my Christmas present to myself. A mr aqua 12 gallon long, my 2nd planted tank. I love the shape of this tank and I hope I can do it justice.

Specs

Tank: mr aqua 12 gallon long
filter: eheim 2213
substrate: a little eco complete to help shape some hills topped with fluval stratum
light: current usa satellite + (a wonderful present from my gf)
Co2- gla atomic paintball regulator, haven't decided on inline or not

Ferts: ei with seachem line, seachem root tabs

Scape: random lfs rocks

Flora:
HC
S. Repens
Downoi
A.R. Mini
Bylaxa Japonica

Fauna?
10-15 rummynose tetras
Otos
Amano shrimp

Not entirely set on stocking yet but I have plenty of time.

Now for the dry start
1/5
After a ton of research on here i decided to attempt a drt start. I played with the scape for about 2 weeks before settling in on this one and im really happy i took the time to get it right. It looks pretty spot on to the tank in my mind.

1/10
I started with 6 pots of hc And divided each into about 8 plugs and planted away

1/20
I added the s repens.

the hc and s repens are doing great. Better than expected even. The downoi i added basically melted after I planted it but after trimming away the melted stems it seems to be making a comback

2/7-2/8
This last 3 pics is from yesterday and today. I noticed while misting this morning my s repens had a new plant shoot up out of nowhere. The two pics are taken about 6 hours apart.

I agree, the 12 longs are such good looking tanks! Your plants are off to a great start and your hardscape flows nicely. The whole tank looks balanced and clean. Great start.

OK so I've done a terrible job updating this thread but I just did about half a Sunday worth of work on my tanks so I think it's time for some updates.

Bba has been an issue but after a dusting the photo period it seems to have slowed considerably.

Tank has evolved and changed quite a bit. My beautiful carpet of hc is no more. Hair algae and American flag fish uprooting it finally made me call it quits. Replaced the hc with dhg 2 weeks back after a rough transition from emmersed it's finally starting to bounce back. Although I will say I have not master the art of growing carpet plants so I'm hopeful but not expecting too much. Downoi and s repens have really grown well in this tank and there's a little bit of glosso that's slowly getting comfortable.

I want to say thanks to treyLcham for a giant roak I was lucky enough to win recently that added some more s repens, some beautiful ar mini, and some true rotola to the left side of the tank.

Added a circulation pump but other than that equiptment has stayed the same.

Tank currently holds:
8 rummy nose
3 ammano shrimp
1 bristle nose pleco
2 otos
1 platy (only one that didn't jump, unfortunately my cat got the other 3)

Update pic

Thanks for looking. Comments, critiques, advice welcome
