7 gallon - sparkling gouramis?

I'm getting ready to plant my 7 gallon Mini-bow, which is empty at the moment. This will be my only tank for awhile, so I want it to be entertaining. I was thinking of getting some sparkling gouramis and pygmy cories. How many of each would you suggest? I would like to have at least 5 pygmy cories that way they feel more comfortable. I've heard mixed reviews on the gouramis, that sometimes they can be territorial. Would it be best to only have 1, or should I get maybe 3 of them?

Since gouramis are almost always male in the pet trade it would be best to get one as an 'accent' fish and then get some small something or others to fill out the tank. IMO.

Pygmy cories are way adorable. giggle.
