Shell Dwellers in 10g

I am looking to start a nano shell dweller tank. After doing some reading, I think I've narrowed it down to either brevis or ocellatus, but can't decide between the two species. Will one work better than the other in a tank of this size?

Also, I'm planning on anubias in the tank, as well as java fern. Are there any other plant selections that will survive the dwellies digging?

Thanks for the info!

I would go with brevis. I don't keep ocellatus , but have read they are more territorial/aggressive than most shellies. I have a pair of brevis and they are pretty laid back interesting fish. They spend most of their time near their shell and would be fine even in a 5.5. I bet you could do two pairs in a 10. Mine beg like Oscars. Beautiful fish. They are in a 29 which is way overkill. At first they took up more space, but after they paired off they share the same territory. I plan on adding Julies and one more pair of brevis. If u do ocellatus, I don't think you could do more than one male.

Can't help too much with the fish , but as to plants ,Bolbitis heudelotti would probably work fine . It's rhizomatous and has pretty much the same requirements as java fern .

Thanks for the suggestions. I've had mixed results with bolbitis in my other tanks. Hopefully it will take off in this one as I really like the look of it.
