Aponogeton crispus

I bought a bunch of Aponogeton crispus at a LFS after being told it's like a crypt, and thinking it would look pretty in the mid-foreground. Now I realize these plants turn into monsters and I'm wondering what I should do. I was clear that it would be going into a 9g cube. Oh well!

Are these plants fast growing and can their height be controlled by removing leaves as they get too tall? Or should I just cut my losses and take it out now?

If it grows quickly I could consider moving it to the back. I was planning to have wisteria in the background but could always keep that trimmed and bushier in the mid ground and off to the side?

Any suggestions would be lovely.

I am starting from scratch with a rescape after a nearly year-long, horrendously frustrating battle with BGA. I'm going for the path of least resistance and have java fern to attach to some manzanita branches, and I bought 1 potted Ozelot sword, as well as a 3-for-$15 deal including bunched wisteria, Bacopa caroliniana, and the Aponogeton crispus.

I'm happy to revisit these plants once a few months have passed without a BHA reappearance.

Yes you are going to need a bigger tank those could fit in a 20h easily.
Maybe you could trade some on the swap n shop here.

Greaaaaaat. Well that's annoying. If have bought an Anubis nana or something small had I known.

Unfortunately I'm in Canada so I'm more likely to be able to sell or swap it on a local aquarium forum than here.

Wish you were close to me! I love my aponos- I'm planning on upgrading to a 40gal in future, where they'd have plenty of room.
