foreground for a 3g

I have an eclipse 3g with the stock 6w light as well as a 10w CF retrofitted in there (giving me 16 watts). I covered about 80% of the inside of the hood with a surprisingly reflective tape I found at my house (i think it's used for AC/heating air ducts). I am dosing excel every other day or every 3rd day.

I was wondering what plants would carpet best. Right now i'm considering Marselia minuta but i'm open to suggestions. Thanks in advance.

dont get marsilea unless you really want to wait a long time to see any growth. it takes a REALLY long time to acclimate, and then even after that it grows pretty slowly.

if you want a nice carpet, get some glossostigma elatinoides or if youre up for a challenge, try some HC. otherwise, HM might look good, or if you have 2 wpg or less, you could use some smaller crypts like c. parva or c. x willisii/lucens. UG (not sure what it stands for... utriculara something?) looks amazing, too, but i dont know much about it. look for a thread about it on the forums. its worth at least looking into getting UG.

thanks for the help Demo. i figured marsilea would take a while to grow but i'm ok with slow growth because i want to avoid trimming plants every week. HM is the other plant i was looking at but do you think it would grow healthy and carpet in my tank with only 16 watts?
