Question New to planted Nano

Long time reader, first time post. Lol So I am going to start a nano planted tank soon. I am going list out what I will have although not all purchased yet.

About me, 2 20g tanks for my kids(current) and had a 120g cichlid all male show tank. Needed to downsize :-( So I am familiar with most things, but new to the planted world.

Here is the list:
Fluval spec v: have a perfect piece of Malaysian Driftwood for it that I have saved.
Crib sea planted substraight.
Hydro Theo 50w heater: going in pump chamber w/ hole in out pipe for circulation.
Finnex planted+ 16"
Fluval 88g co2 with different bubble counter and defuser. Will convert it to paintball tank at later date.
Co2 drop checker.
Purgien 100ml instead of carbon.
Stick on temp gauge.

Mods that I am considering:

DIY media basket. Will not pay $40 for something I can make, lol.
Sealing up lower water inlet on tank so no water bypasses filter.
Marine land mini-jet 606.

?? Will the 606 pump be too much since once its installed, you cannot regulate flow? I'm all about over filtration, just not sure what is too much. Will be planted with fish.

10 male endless. Not a fan of breeding. Lol
HC dwarf baby tears.
Xmas moss for driftwood.
(something red) ?

?? I am going to have the light on a timer. However due to my 12hr shifts at work, I cannot regulate co2. Can I go as low as 1 bubble every 5seconds and be sufficient? Suggestions?

Any and all advise will be helpful. This is a tank just for me since I no longer have my show tank. So I will only be the one maintaining it. Lol

Thanks in advance
