1.5 gallon 7" cube glass
Plants: Riccia, Java Moss, duckweed, Val or Sags (i don't really know).
Substrate: play sand
Rock: black lava rock, sand stone (I don't like mixing, but that's all I had)
Livings: Red Cherry Shrimps, some snails.

1.5 gallon long 12"x4"x10" arcylic
Plants: Riccia, Java Moss, duckweed, Val or Sags (i don't know).
Substrate: saltwater live crush coral
Rock: white stone
Living: Red Cherry Shrimp. ( I wish they are more red but being such a bright tank, they probably won't be).

nice little tanks. If you are in need of cool rocks, just go to a park or something, I'm sure you'll find something you like. I see they share a light. Am I right? I've always wondered about the crushed coral, thought it had calcium in it? Never did do reasearch on it for planted tanks, but I think it's a no no for soft water. Correct me if I'm wrong.

if he's growing snails and other invertebrates, I can see where he might want the crushed coral - to add calcium to the water. It's difficult to grow snails correctly in soft, slightly acidic water (similar to what you might find in the Amazon...) as their shells dissolve around them. I used to have baggies of calcium carbonate I kept in the filter to help my snails.
