Where to get super tiny glass diffuser?

Any ideas? I prefer it be glass and not acrylic, but if there are tiny acrylic ones, I'll take that too. I am going to connect 2 2L bottles together and figure that's enough pressure to warrant use of a diffuser.. I think?

Thank you!

hit up ebay. search for Nano co2 diffuser. most come from asia and are sold in lots of 2 or 3. you should buy more than one because you will inevitably break a few

Call up Aqua Forest Aquarium in San Francisco and ask for the Do!Aqua Music Glass 10 diffuser. (It's not on their website, but they do have them in stock right now.) It's the smallest I've seen. It looks like this. ("This" being the second one in that post. The first is the Music Glass 15 -- slightly bigger.)

It's glass. And even one 2L bottle would be enough to derive benefit from it.

+1.

And they're $15 for 2-3.

The Do!Aqua ones are nice though. Just too rich for my blood.

By the way Ugly Genius, what size tank do you have those glass diffusers in? I'm trying to gauge the actual size of the smaller diffuser.

Also as this will by my first glass diffuser... how much cleaning/maintenance is required to keep the bubbles small and flowing through it?

My tank is about three and a half gallons, a Mini-S. The smaller of the two diffusers is about half an inch in diameter.

As for cleaning and maintenance of a glass diffuser, it depends on how clean your tank is. Not too long ago, I had an algae outbreak and the thing got debris and algae on it quite regularly. I've gotten the outbreak under control and now I don't have to fuss with it at all.
Assuming your lines are tight from the bottle to the diffuser and that your mixture is fresh, you will have no problem keeping the bubbles small.

BTW, I've gotten the cheaper diffusers and they didn't break the CO2 into consistently small bubbles the way the ADA stuff does. Anecdotal evidence, sure, but that's my experience with the cheaper ones.

Well I'm shocked these glass diffusers are so small because your tank looks so big! My tank is a 3gal as well so now I'm super stoked. Hopefully aqua forest will deliver to florida I emailed them

They will be perfect for your 3 gallon. Without a doubt.
Also, for any tank doing only DIY, I'd say anything bigger is pretty unnecessary as the DIY mixtures hardly ever produce enough pressure to utilize the entirety of a larger ceramic disk.

That's good to know. I'm trying to get the smallest equipment to hide the 'plumbing' as much as I can.

I'm going to daisy chain 2 x 2L co2 bottles.. alternating the changing out of the mixtures every 7-10 days.. haven't decided yet. Right now I'm just running 1 2L and although I don't even have substrate in yet.. I'm trying to figure it all out

Your lengthy thread is great btw, thanks for linking me to it I learned a lot!

Thank you for the link, it's just bigger than I was looking for. I'm going to order through aqua forest posted above, the Aqua 10 is perfect, can't go wrong with 1/2" diffuser

Thanks,

Can someone tank a picture of theirs compared with a dollar bill, or soda can or something so I can figure out the actual size of this diffuser you are speaking of?

The image says 40cm tall.... 40cm is like 15inches! Is that how tall this is in your 4gallon?? ^^^^^
