Fishless cycle question

Hey everyone, I started doing a seeded fishless cycle in a new 10 gallon tank yesterday.

I dripped ammonia until it hit 4ppm using the ATI liquid test.

Seeded it with decorations and 2 bags of filter media from a cycled tank (I dripped the filter water into my new 2213 while moving the stuff) and a bag of substrate.

My problem is I tested the water today and ammonia is down to .25 ppm, 0 nitrite and 20 ppm nitrate.

There's no way its cycled in 1 day right?

That's normal the bacteria on the seeded media is consuming the ammonia and converting it to nitrite then nitrate. It will take several weeks for the bacteria to grow on the new filter media, tank, substrate ect... So leave the seeded media in the tank and continue to feed ammonia in the tank. You don't want to pull the seeded media out to quickly or you will start the cycle over.
