MOsborne05's 7 Gallon :)

Just overhauled my 7 gallon tank and it looks much better now. This tank has been running for over a year now and is pretty much self-sustaining. The plants have been growing well, and I very rarely do water changes. It currently has a pair of celestial pearl danios/galaxy rasboras, 10 ember tetras and some cherry shrimp. I know I need a background still, I took the old one off because it had water spots. And sorry the pics are blurry, these fish never sit still!

BTW, it is a 7 gallon Mini-Bow with a 14 watt light. Plants are rotala indica, red ludwigia, contortionist val, dwarf sag, baby tears, downoi, guppy grass, a moss ball and some sort of moss (christmas or flame?)

Looking good man! I'm just wondering, how are the Galaxy Rasboras working out for you. I'm want to get a whole bunch of them but if they are too temperamental I might just stick with Harlequins Rasboras.

Thanks! I only have two galaxy rasboras, and so far they have been fine. I'm pretty sure that I have a pair, and I have seen them do the 'mating dance' but I haven't found any babies or eggs. So if they are breeding, then the eggs are being eaten right away. They weren't very active when it was just the two of them and a betta. Once I put the embers in and moved the betta out, they became much more active. They even try to school with the embers!

If you can find them, I would definitely get some. Try to get as many as possible and put them in a densely planted tank. I've read that they breed pretty readily, but you have to either pull the eggs or take the parents out in order for them to survive.

I was thinking about buying 25 of them off of aquabid for about $150 total. They sure are cool looking.
