Mysterious ripped sprouting leaves!

Hi guys! I have a 5.5 gallon planted betta tank with 5 different species of plants. One of them happens to be Amazon Compacta(dwarf form of amazon sword). I have 2 Amazon Compactas. One is thriving while one is doing some what poorly. When new leaves sprout they are all ripped up! I do not know why! I have no leaf eating organisms in the tank, I have a good substrate, I add potassium, iron, and nitrogen to the tank, I add co2, and I am running a 15w light on my tank (about 3ish watts per gallon). Why do you guys think my leaves are sprouting all torn up?
Thank you!
