10g crypt dominated tank

I have just finished the planting of my restored 10g (was a GHA farm just hours ago) and need some help. here is what I have so far
EQUIPMENT
whisper powerfilter (plan to get some carbon and sponges for it)
20 watt strip light
50 watt heater
PLANTS
java fern
anubias nana
crypt wendtii
crypt crispatula
corkscrew vall
INVERTS/FISH
none yet
I have a buch of crypt wendtii in one corner (hopefully they will grow to make a dense bush) and the crypt crispatula behind them (wood is separating them) while in the other corner a huge chunk of wood is standing up w/ java ferns and anubias on it. their are 3 large and 1 very tiny vall plants between them. I am planning to move the valls to make a slight dip in the aquscape, and want a carpet type plant to fill in the entire front and the channel running through the middle. I also havent decided anything about inver of fish stocking. will post pics as soon as can.

a little update on this tank, Ill be rigging up CO2 on it tomorrow. the corkscrew vals seem to be doing very well, they have gotten brighter (and darker) green, and their are the starts of new leaves on the crypt wendtii, the java ferns and anubias (which I have decided is anubias coffefolia) are doing just the same as always, which is great! I cant wait to see them in a tank w/ co2, as in the 2 years I have had them they have never had CO2 enjected into their water.

Nice to see you're starting CO2. It'll be interesting to see the increased growth rate.

No pictures?

I havent had much time in the past week but I am hoping to get the CO unit up by monday. the crypt wendtii have been doing suprisingly well, they have flourished and grown at least 1 new leave each in 1 week. the java ferns and anubias continue growing slowly, and the other crypt is doing well, hopefully it will start to thive when I add CO2. the valls have also been doing okay.

Cool. how about some pics? Another good carpet plant could be E. Tenellus. As for stocking I would do some CRS and maybe like 10 neon tetras. That would look great.

well, this tank is really just a nursery tank for the plants that will eventually go into my 20g high, which by then will have 2.5-3 watts per gallon and 2 liters of DIY CO2. there will be mostly female betta in there (probably 8) as well as 4-5 harlequen rasboras, 2 cories, and a cherry barb (who doesent like other cherries) and finally either CRS, RCS, or ottos as well as many small snails (came on plants, do a good job keeping algae down, and breed like mad). I am debating weather to setup a fully planted 20g long, a 10g and a 5g or a big reptile cage (hat would double as a paludarium) in my room.
