Cycling almost finished! Need Help With Plants Now!

Dear Planted Tank COmmunity,

As my fishless cycling comes to and end, I'm starting to shop for some plants! A few quick questions that would need to be answered, in order for me to gain some more knowledge in this hobby! Also my tank is a 10g.

- I am using Caribsea Sand. Should I replace that with the Eco-Complete sand? Is it really necessary to replace the sand? Would the Seachem Flourish be a big help instead of replacing the sand?

- What kinds of plants would go good with my future betta, tetra, and (not sure what else to put in).

- Are there any special needs to make these plants happy? Besides the lighting? Also with the lighting, I'm planning to have my tank light on over night and off during the day, would that be good? Or any other suggestions?

Example - 8am-9pm Light is off, 10pm-7am light is on.

Would love to hear many suggestions! Thanks community!

Which caribsea sand? Normally you can mix without issue.
