5.5 gallon Iwagumi inspired tank
I thought that it is about the right tim to start my tank journal for my little nano tank.
5.5 gallon tank
DIY co2 (yeast)
aquaticmagic co2 diffuser
50 watt heater
lights will probably be powercompact but for the moment I have a couple of those spiral fluoro globes on top of it.
HOB filter running filter wool and carbon
It has a latarite enriched granite substrate and I will be adding a tablet type fertiliser every water change.
At the moment I've done the hardscape, filled it up with water, got the cycle going and I just ordered my co2 diffuser later today I will hopefully be going to pick up my first plants.
Inhabbitants will be:
glosso, as a ground cover
Echinodorus tenellus and Elocharis acicularis in the middle
blyxa japonica at the back
1x sparkling gourami
1x oto catfish
3x glass shrimp
and possibly 1x honey gourami (can I have some people opinions on whether or not I should add the honey gourami?)
Here are my questions: will you be able to see the blyxa japonica over the Echinodorus tenellus and Elocharis acicularis? Could I add a Honey gourami and a sparkling gourami or just a sparkling gourami? And how many watts of light should I be aiming for?
Pics will be up as soon as I find the usb for the camera.
thanks for reading,
