My First Attempt at a planted tank

Starting off with this low tech aquarium, an Eclipse 8 I think.

Luckily for me, there is already black gravel/sand in the tank and I don't have to replace it. The filter is a regular Whisper rated for 15 gallons. The light is what came with the Eclipse, I do not plan on buying any stronger lights to replace it. If needed, I'll have a lamp to help with the lighting of plants.

I am planning to go with hardy plants that will do well in a low light environment without CO2 injections. On my list so far are Java fern and Java moss, unless I can get some help from you guys on which plants to choose.

As far as livestock goes, I am going to have a pair of german blue rams, 3 panda corys, 5 neon tetras, and maybe a school of 5 more other fish. They will not all be going into the tank at once, I am not a novice to fish keeping, just a novice to planted tanks. xP I'm also well aware of the fact that this may be overstocking, but compared to what I've succeeded with in the past, this would be nothing.

Anywho, I would like some suggestions on plants and whatnot, hoping to buy some from members here, and I'll also be updating with pics of my tank. And I apologize for the cruddy web cam pics. XP

Yay, got two plants and some fish. Here's an update picture. The plant on the right is a java fern, forgot what the one on the left was called.

Thanks. The ram is hiding right now all the time. Hopefully he didn't get himself stuck behind the wistera, lol.

Nah, they'll be fine as long as I keep up with the water changes. Here's an update, got some rocks from the river.
