Hi guys,

I just started a 5 gallon tank. It's my first one! YAY!

I'm just wondering how u guys take out water from your fish tanks...
Do u guys use a gravel vac cause what if the ground is covered in plants?
or do u guys just siphon it out?

Thanks!

Either way, I just do weekly water changes. 7 months and that seems to be all I need to do. I wipe out the inside to clean the haze during the water change and that is about it.

With a 5g you could use a cup or pitcher to get the water out (thats what I do), just be sure that when you do, use one that has not been cleaned with soap, if it must be cleaned use amonia (will just be cycled) or I have heard of people using vinigar.

Actually since mine as at work, I try to make it unobtrusive as possible. I just use an airline hose and a gallon jug.
