New 6 Gallon: Plant Cycling info and plant suggestions requested
New to the forum and I am hoping to find some information on cycling my brand new 6 gallon tank using plants only, and to find some suggestions on plants to use in a limited space (I have roughly 12 inches of height, 17 inches of width, and 14 inches of depth to work with).
CYCLING WITH PLANTS: This is a simple one. How do you do it? I've read about other methods involving fish and no fish and can do it without difficulty. I have only caught very sketchy information about using live plants alone. Any help you can provide would be very helpful.
PLANT SUGGESTIONS: I've done some research regarding various plants and have id'd some that would be suitable for a small tank like mine. Anubias Barteri, Dwarf Anubias, Java Fern, Cryptocoryne Beketti, Vavisneri Torticolie.
I'd like to add some color variety. Anything you can offer would be great.
I am particularly interested in grasses and mosses, however, I am concerned they would be out of proportion to the tank space and overwhelm the tank.
Well there you have it. Thanks in advance.
