Where to find a light for nano in Canada

I have an old Eclipse System 6 that I have not used in about 3 years. Recently I was thinking about removing the hood, filter and black plastic rim and just using the acrylic tank to start a 6 gallon nano. The tank is just sitting there doing nothing so I am not really giving up anything by doing this. I read in another post that the eclipse tank should be fine without the rim as long as a filter is not hung on the back of the aquarium. For this reason, I am contemplating using a very small canister filter, a small heater and Hagen CO2 yeast (which I will also not hang on the back).

My problem is with lighting. I canít seem to find any of these wonderful CF desk lamps in Canada that everyone talks about. Home Depot and other places locally donít carry these.

1) Has anyone in Canada been successful in finding this type of light locally or on a Canadian website.

2) If I go with a CF screw in light bulb in a more standard lamp, what type of lamps will provide the best reflection? Do I need something with a metal reflective interior? How many watts of daylight bulb would I need for a System 6 (my plan is to grow some foregroung plants that require lighting and CO2)?

I'd just go with Drs Foster and Smith and get a Galaxy II or something. I believe shipping isn't too bad.

I just picked up 2 of these lamps for my 7.5 gallon tank.

http://www.lightsofamerica.com/desk.htm
(Model # 1147TR)
27 Watts 6500K (perfect for plants)

about $26.

Costco in Coquitlam (just outside of Vancouver)

You can buy these online as well but you may find a better solution locally. (http://www.esplighting.com/lamps.html#)

I was very close to just buying a standard old desklamp from Home Depot or ikea (about $20 each) and just use spiral 6500K 27 Watt bulbs (which I had using those cheapo clamp on reflectors before) The bulbs and clamp lights worked well... I even got some pearling on my Riccia. Just looked a little awkward. These ones look a bit better.

Good luck.

Please excuse the dirty tank, slightly blurry pictures, and ugly heater sticking out. The tank has just been setup
