I am new to planted tank hobby, and learn something new everyday. I cam across some info today that said I should remove the carbon from the eclipse filter cartridge because it removes micro-nutrients from the water. I am currently adding Flourish once a week, and Flourish Excel once a day. And changing 50% water ever other week. Should I cut open the cartridge replace carbon with filter stuffing?
Thanks,
CP

Yes, I would find some way to remove the carbon.

I do exactly that with my millenium cartidges, cut em open throw out the carbon, and stuff it with a little filter wool...
