2.5gal. nano

afte some inspiration here i decided to make use of a 2.5gal retangle tank that use to house a betta some years back.

2.5gal. aga
coralife 2x9w pc
flora base
malaysian driftwood
azoo nano hob filter
riccia
Hemianthus micranthemoides

i had a lot more pearlweed from my other tank but trying to plant them in the flora base was hell so i ended up throwing them back in the other tank.

Simple yet nice!

How do you like your 2x9 coralife?

I was looking into one for a nano of my own but wanted a first hand opinion on one.

Try placing all the pearlweed behind the wood instead, tidy up the substrate line along the glass a little(flatten it), tie the riccia down to some small pebbles and place those pebbles all along the front of the driftwood until it hits the back panel of glass. You'll have a more defined scape that way. As it is, the stems in front of the driftwood will end up blocking it and there won't be a "head" or "tail" to the scape and the riccia looks like it was randomly placed on the wood with no thought put into their placement.
I hope my comments don't offend you in any way. Just trying to help tidy up the aquascape a little.

well the flora base was a pain to plant in

the pearlweed i plan to have grow along the substrate, there are some behind the wood. with the riccia i had trouble holding it down and i have plant weights holding it down any ideas how i should go about it?

also i couldnt see much after the flora base stirred up and i admit i was dead tired. i plan to go back in it today, with the rocks and riccia i just want the wood in there and not have anything else take away from it but i will try it and see how it looks today

thank you for the comment any criticism as it helps

eklikewhoa, can I see a pic of your lighting? I just started a 2.5 gallon last night, and I am needing some lighting ideas.

**Just googled it. Thanks.

See if you can get some hair nets. They're kinda stretchy. I basically get a rock that I like, spread the riccia over the rock, take the hair net(trimmed to a smaller, more manageable size) and cover the riccia and rock, with the excess material, I twist it up under the rock and tie some fish line around it into a dead knot and trim away excess hair net.

Here's a good link to show you what I'm talking about.

you could also probably use a zip tie (cable tie).
