4 Gallon nano

Hey everyone,

Don't ususally post much here but I've been cruising the baords for some time and I just wanted to post a few pics of my 4 gallon nano tank.

Here's a top down shot, it's a little older but it still shows the general layout:

Inhabitants are a few of these guys:

And a school of P simulans:

Well, that's it for now. Hope you all enjoyed!

It looks cool, but I'm curious to know why you don't raise the water a little higher? Less surface turbulence, less CO2 loss.

That one shot was before topping off, usually it is higher. I'm dosing Excel as a C source, so as I understand it the C in Excel won't gas off like CO2 would.

Can anyone identify the tank and lighting used in this set up? Any links would be great. At the very least guesses on the dimensions.

Thanks.

It looks like the Finnex 4gal. The same one that wood uses here. Unfortunately it's been discontinued.

Well there are some nice looking curved tanks from some other manufacturers like Azoo's

Definitely. I have JBJ's picotope. On Drs. Foster Smith. More pics (but mostly crappy) in my thread.

WOW. Those colors are so deep and rich, does it really look like that in real life or does the camera bring it out more? I would love to know what it takes to get a tank looking so wonderful.

Awesome, I really like it a lot!

I can't tell for sure but it does look like a 4 gallon finnex. The lighting is from catalinaaquarium.com for sure. I wish that they made better looking legs for the light.
