JJ's 2.5 local

So I've had this 2.5 gallon sitting around for awhile now and didn't know what to do with it. There's a small lake in my apartment complex that my girlfriend and I take walks around. I figured I would try set up a little local collection tank.

The substrate is just black sand from Petco. I do have Excel to dose, and plan on making some root tabs for it. Not too sure about my lights. I currently have a Deep Blue Professionals Solar Flare Mini over the tank, as well as two of the LED lamps that come with the Marina Cubus Tanks. If that doesn't work, I do have an Ott-Lite fixture with a 13w CFL in it.

Currently there is no filter, I had a little Tom's Mini Internal, but it stopped working, so I'm going to pick up another Red Sea nano. I've used those in the past and really like them.

I didn't notice until I got the plants home that I also somehow managed to get what looks like 2 wild ramshorns, and there are a couple pond snails as well.

Any ideas on what plants those are? I know it's a crappy cell phone pic, my good camera is charging.

Also, any suggestions or thoughts on lights, equipment and such?

Oh, and I do intend on getting a black background for this, just didn't have anything sitting around right now.

The one on the far left looks like cabomba... I'm assuming.

I'll get some better, close up pictures of each of the plants later.
