Looking for advice for my first Planted tank.

I bought a Fluval SpecV the other week. Filled it with a Beta and some neon tetras and 2 shrimp. So far all the fish are doing great together. Ended up putting some fake plants in there. and it just doesnt look right. So i want to get some live plants in there.

Looking for some advice on Low Light/No CO2 plants that would work well in the small 5gallon environment. I might upgrade the light later, but right now i have other things i have to pay for (fixing my totaled truck, buying a house in 6-10months, wedding in 1.5 years, you get the picture....) so im trying to keep this project as low cost as possible. Once i buy my house, my 36g bow front will be all out planted tank fun. until then i will have my little SpecV

Thank you
Jason

The light on the spec V is fine for low light plants. I have crypts and dwarf sag in mine and they do great. Moss would also work fine in there.

Anubias, java ferns, java moss, crypts, bacopas, pretty much anything that you find at Petco or Petsmart in the live plant tanks are low light plants from my experience.

as Dan's85 said java fern, java moss, crypts, anubias, banana plant are the main low lights

Just FYI your tank is overstocked I would do just the betta. See if you can return the neon tetras or find a new home for them.
