Wabi-Kusa questions

Hi,

So I was browsing thegreenmachine's channel on youtube, and they recently came out with a video on Wabi-Kusa. (here's the link if you want to watch:
)

I was wondering if anyone's tried the substrate balls, or what other options I would have if I wanted to try a tank like this. What size tank would you recommend I start with? Also, would it be possible to make a similar set up, but fully submerged? (if i do that, should I add a filter)

Lots of questions, thanks for the help.

I am also researching this right now; it looks like the tank is the smalles of the Do-Aqua line of cube tanks, and the substrate ball I believe is rocks tied together with some type of moss. The "Wabi Kusa Guy" online has some information on it.

I am also trying to get one of these going but find information on them to be rather lacking.

My one question with Wabi-Kusa.....what kind of lights should one use?

I kind of want to make one to give to someone, although I'm not sure how that would work if light is an issue.

Since they are made of plants, I'd guess something like a low wattage CFL in 6500K-ish would work well.

Do I have to listen to that music in a continuous loop if I attempt one of these?

I used to have fish tanks. Now I have plant tanks.

Yes you do. Otherwise the new plants won't root and they'll die.
