7 Gallon Cadlights Tank

Well, I was recently able to pickup a Cadlights 'Zen' 7 gallon tank at a LFS. Low-iron tanks such as this have only become available locally within the past 3-4 months. Before then I would have had to make a multi-hour trip to a bigger city to find a 'starfire' tank, or order a custom made one for big $$$ . When I got the tank home I was very impressed with the build quality, and the fact that the tank came with a glass lid, lid clips, and a mat.
This tank will be for CRS/CBS (and maybe some other shrimp types that can deal with the parameters). Here are a few pics while cycling (10 day difference in the pics) I will post a few updated shots shortly.

Info on the tank setup:
Tank: 7 gal low-iron glass
Lights: IKEA desk lamp with 13 watt bulb
CO2: Was started with DIY fed into filter intake. I have since quit the CO2 (I assumed that the pH swings with 0-1 kH would be too much for the shrimp), and am 1/2 dosing metracide.
Filter: Eheim 2213 with DIY acrylic pipes
Substrate: Netlea Lambo
Hardscape: Malaysian drift wood

Constructive criticism is always welcome.

Looks like you have some good growth!!

Is there any way you can replace the heater with an in-line and get a temp probe or something? That would really reduce the "clutter" in the tank.

I like the wood as well.

^Agreed that driftwood is awesome. How's the HC going without CO2?

How I feel about non-planted aquariums.

One step ahead of you. It was cold up here in early April... that heater was the smallest one I had. Now that its warmer, heater has since been removed .

Dumped my camera... May update

The tank has been moved from my desk to a more permanent position. Here is an updated photo (basically as it is now).

CRS and CBS at the moment. Only a few are visible in the pics, but there are 12 in there. My biggest CBS is berried, so more to come hopefully

It was growing like crazy with DIY co2, but once I quit that it has been slow, but I do still have growth. We will have to see how it works out long term. I am thinking of raising my kh (currently 1 drop does the test making kh 0-1 degree) so that I can go back to DIY co2 or split my line from my 10 lb tank on my 48 gallon planted... now that the two tanks are in the same room.

Looks great!!

And yeah, you'll notice much more substantial growth if you are able to continue CO2 dosing for the HC.
