The first one looks like the entrance to Mordor or the Gates of Hell or something. Very dramatic.

Re: Scape 1 or 2

If you do the first one, get a different colored substrate and create a path... That would look awesome

One it is then. The whole front will have a carpet otherwise I would get some sand to lead down the path.

Last question is should I break a little off the bottom of the large stone in the back right corner so it sits more even with the other side?

I know very little about what makes a "good" scape, but to my eye it's perfect as-is. I wouldn't change anything.

Ok made a few small adjustments basically the mid ground rocks were pushed out a little allowing for a more open feel up front and the rocks lead your eye to the back. It will also allow the background plants to be separated from the forground carpet since the rocks are closer to the side glass now. Last opinions!?!?

Stones are called Utah Dragon Stone. Here is the final scape with my new Finnex Fugeray that just came in the mail this afternoon. Btw I think it looks more symmetrical on here but in person it looks really good because all the crevices and different textures really gives each rock it's own distinct character.
