My First Planted Edge Tank

Had a series of f**kups with this tank. Finally decided to go all out and have a go at a plant setup. I'm not even sure I got the names of the plant right. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I have 5 Crystal Red Shrimps in there but they disappeared. Probably hiding under the drift wood. Hop they're still alive.

*A shout-out to all the New Yorkers.

Nice looking beta! You worried he'll munch on the shrimp at all?

I had the impression Bettas won't harm shrimps. But then again my shrimps are real small. But there are a lot of good hiding spots for the shrimps so I'm not so worried.

I'm actually considering switching the betta to a Fluval Spec III 3 gallon tank and just dedicate the Edge for Shrimps.

Re: My First Planted Edge Tank

Lookin good.

Ive never had issues with my betta bothering shrimp. He is more on the peaceful side but hes never even chased them...theyll swim right up to him and he doesnt even flinch.

Thanks! Yeah I didn't notice the beta chasing shrimp of the Otos. But seriously, Its been 3 days and I haven't seen the shrimps. They are real tiny though. Could by under the drift wood. No way I'm pulling up my drift wood and stir up a substrate storm. Will just wait for these baby shrimps to show up.,.. hopefully soon.
