My 8x8x8 Blue Velvet/Jelly shrimp Cube

I just started a 8x8x8 cube aquarium which is little under 2.5 gallons a few days ago. Was thinking about making it a Blue Jelly/Velvet Shrimp tank with a Nerite snail and maybe some Micro Crabs too. Here are the specs:

Substrate-Flourite and laterite base with white carib sea sand on top
Plants- Dwarf Hair Grass, 1 Anubias, 1 Amazon Sword
Filter- Azoo Palm filter
Lighting- Deep Blue Solar Flare Mini Gooseneck LED Light

I have some questions about the lighting since Im still a little confused about LEDs and was wondering if this light is good enough to grow the plants I have?
Here is some additional Info:

With 1 6700k 3w white LEDsand 2 blue LEDs at .25w each, it provides all the light you need for your desktop aquarium.
1x3w 6700K LED
2x.25w Actinic Blue LEDs

Also since with my 10 gallon planted aquarium I have been having a brown algae issue and was wondering there is any thing I could do to prevent an out break in my 8x8x8 tank?

Looks really nice! Is this the DBP 2.2 gallon cube? I really want one of these since they look really nice! Where did you find it?

Thanks! I just decided that im going to change the substrate to fluval shrimp stratum on top of the flourite since the white is starting to switch places with the flourite and it is such small size that my filter keeps making a crater Loved the look of the white sand.

I found the tank at a local aquarium shop in Michigan called Blue Fish Aquarium in Grandville, Michigan. They are a great shop Very helpful and carry a huge selection of freshwater, saltwater, and Herps too.

Also does anybody know if running the water for the aquarium through a Brita water filter will help with parameters for the shrimp?

Still Wondering if the light is ok for the amazon sword and Dwarf hairgrass?

Also would it be ok to run a DIY C02 with shrimp? Heard mix reviews?

There is a guide out there I think by pejerrey that documents how he runs his tanks with CO2 and his shrimps are okay. It's a good read and might answer your questions.

Amazon swords I heard are okay in lower light. I had my E parviflorus in very low light and it grew pretty well.

It's a really nice tank! I want to grab a cube as well. You did great setting it up. Love the substrate especially.
