12 inch cube
Well, I finally got around to setting up my 12 inch cube tank. I have some big plans for it later, but until I get the cash it will stay like this.
The tank is a rimless cube built by someone from my local aquarium club from glass he had laying around. The silicone job isn't very pretty, but it holds water and only cost me $5. I could probably clean up the silicone with a razor blade, but I didn't think about it before setting it up. The light is a 9x1 watt 6500K LED fixture from aquatraders. I have no idea what the brand of HOB filter is, it is just a small one I had laying around.
For substrate, I am using black blasting sand from Tractor Supply. I also have 2 zebra rocks, but I am not sure if I like them.
The plants in it right now are a red lily, dwarf baby tears (between the rocks), anubias, a stem plant I don't know the name of but have had forever, and a val looking plant (I just bought it at an auction last week and can't remember the name).
For right now, I have 8 small endlers and a golden mystery snail. I was planning to keep a betta in this tank, but the only ones I could find that I liked had to be shipped from Thailand, which I don't want, and can't afford, to do.
Below is a couple of pics. The dwarf baby tears between the rocks were completely washed out in the first pic, so the 2nd pic is with the light on low (using only 3 of the 9 leds)
Any suggestions or comments are always welcome.
