Planting will look even more lovely when it grows in, what it lacks is strength and boldness in the form of a hardscape. A few clustered rocks or a good piece of driftwood would do wonders in there. Hope you get a nice shrimp population going!

Good luck!

Cute shrimp

I think the tank will look great once it starts to fill in. One thought though... you do have one plant in there that will RAPIDLY outgrow your tank. Are you planning on trying to keep it trimmed down... or replaceing it when it tries to take over?

Top the tall stems and plant them to create dense groupings. You might move the moss-covered wood to the midground somewhere slightly off-center in the midground. THe sword is going to get too big for this tank, but for now it should probably be placed in the background.

My suggestions:
1) Put a background on that tank. It will hide the equipment behind the tank, and make the plants stand out more. I recommend black.
2) Hardscape. Rocks or driftwood.
3) Remove that stick on thermometer, its just distracting from the tank. Put it on the side if you feel you need it.
4) After you have a few more stem plants, group them and move the filter inlet and Hagen CO2 ladder so that they are hidden by the stem plant groups.

What a transformation. Looks like you got your CO2 issues figured out.

I'd try to get some of that bacopa behind the wood, and tie some of the moss to it. I'd also move more Bacopa to the right side, but not enough to make it symmetrical.

Your tank is really nice. It has grown pretty well and looks healthy.

Ever figure out what kind of gravel/substrate that is?

Wow, that driftwood looks nice. I llike how it is tall only on one side, sorta like a mountain. I would keep the right side low.

I'd keep bumping up the CO2 until the BBA stops spreading. Then keep your CO2 there and hit it with excel to bleach it and make it dissolve.

Nice progress on the tank. By the darker color and mixed size substrate I would have to say that it is Eco complete.
