How Low Can You Go?

Ive seen some pretty small nanos.... so I've started two itty bitty ones myself.

One is a clear glass beer stine & the other is a simple clear wine glass

Right now they just have substrate and a few small plant trimmings. Im planning on having to do alot of trimmings on them. I was wondering, just how small have you guys had nanos go?

1/2 gallon. Going well, fishy is happy. Kids named him Sky. (well, they named him Sky about 3 fish back and haven't figured out that Bettas don't live for 7 years.)

some do.... I had one for 5 years, and he was fully grown when I got him LOL

Then again buying from a breeder vs a mass destributer makes a big difrence

I love bettas! Have you seen some of the GORGIOUS ones on ebay??

Yes I have, gorgeous things! Unfortunately, since they had the first three blue ones, this one is standard issue blue also. Which is silly because I'm just the former nanny, so the blue betta lives with me and they are none the wiser and mom and dad don't have to clean a bowl anymore. HA!

LOL that is funny

My mom tried that one with me when one of my first 6 GF (that I wont at the fair) died. I took one look at it and went "thats not Blackie."

Go figure. She thought all little orange fish look alike. Why I named him Blackie is still a mystery though

Thats how Blacky 2 came to live with us LOL He lived 8 years.

However, of those original 6 fish:
1 lived to be 9
1 lived to be 12
& 1 lived to be 15 Not bad for those little feeder fish you win throwing ping pong balls in little jars! So much for them living short, tortured lives. Mine lived forever and were very spoiled.
