Question Silent Cycle my nano? Or Bio-Spira?

My nano seems to be considered "medium" light (JBJ 6g - 18w PC light - single tube) so I'm curious if the "silent cycle" can still be done? Or does it require high light and CO2 to get the plants growing at the rate that they use up the ammonia quickly?

Or should I just use Bio-Spira and be done with it? Which would be the advised method, given my nano?

BTW, I'll be using Excel for CO2 addition.

Just fill it with alot of fast growers at first. These plants can be temporary, but they deal with the ammonia levels at first and allow your nitrifying bacteria establish itself. Other than that you should be fine.

I'm setting up another 1 gallon "Blinky
Cube" and used eco-complete from an established tank as substrate. So far so good...
