A couple of tanks before college

Here are two nanos that I have done with left over plants, before I go to college. Not really feeling it though, but it's just in the begginning stages, so let's see how they turn out when I come back in a few months.

First is the 5g cube:

26 watt 6700k
Aquaclear powerhead
ADA aquasoil and normal powersand
Excel whenever
Waiting on ada brighty k step 2
Water change/top off whenever
No fishes yet
Java Fern Narrow leaf
Taiwan moss
Xmass moss
Bolbitis
Anubias nana petite
E. tenellus micro
HC
Rotala sp. pink
Malaysian driftwood

Just set this up a few days ago, already has a little algae, I guess that means I have too little fast growing plants and I'll have to lower the lighting a bit.

Second is the 2.5g:

18 watt 6700k
Azoo nano filter
ADA aquasoil
Excel whenever
Waiting on ada brighty k step 2
Water change/top off whenever
Ranalisma rostrata
Downoi
Murdannia keisak
Rotala sp vietnam
Rotala w
Ludwigia sp. pantanal
Mini pellia
HC
Hygro sp. sunset
No algae
Collectoritis tank

Will scape this tank when I get back in a few months, letting things grow out.

The 5 gal cube is very nice... It would be awesome if 1) you'd remove the powerhead for the photo shooting and 2) if there was some kind of background so you wouldn't see the wall behind and 3) if the pic was a little bigger (dimensions... not file size). In any case, the scaping looks very natural, I love it

The Bolbitis will probably outgrow the tank, but not a problem right now.

Turtlehead,

I'm looking to get a filter for 2.5g and noticed you have the azoo. Is that the palm filter or is it actually called the nano filter. I had ordered the red sea nano from big als but it was out of stock so they sent me everthing else and just cancelled the filter. Drs foster and smith have the azoo so I'm wondering if you would recommend it?

I also ordered the filter from drsfosters, I have had it since then and no need to chage filter pads yet, nice little filter, cleans the water nicely, but I wouldn't recommend it for something larger than a 2.5g.

Hey turtlehead,

Can you please take a picture of your light fixture?

Thanks!

The cube is made by lee mar, an aquarium tank company, but I had to special order it. The light fixture was bought online, not sure which one you want to see.
