Where is your heater? Buried?

Am posting in Nano - but would not mind any replies...

I have noticed recomendations for a heater that uses a remote senser - which made me think of burrying the element. That in turn led to another question...

1) do you use a heater in your nano?

2) where do you put your heater. Inline? In the hob filter? In the tank? burried? What heater?

Thanks

58 gallon oceanic, Kessel 360 tun sun, pressurized co2, eheim pimp #179 - 2217 and diffuser

I can speak for everyone, but alot of people don't even use heaters or filters on their nano tanks. The equpiment takes up to much valuable realistate.

Yup, no heater here. Plants and fish do great at room temps of 70-72 degrees.

That's why I specified a range in the 70's If your temps fluctuate that badly I would suggest using a heater of some sort.

i use a heater on the very top of one of my nanos and at the very bottom of another just above the subs. one, both works great, but the one on the bottom gets covered up by the plants,

There are currently no heaters on the 2 gallon or the 10 gallon tank. I have a heater in storage for the 10 gallon tank, but Paradise Fish don't really need a heater. The room temperature is fairly stable.

I have an small nano not even a gallon and i brought one of those lizardpads and stuck it to the bottom of the tank. Just to keep the tank at a regulated temp of 70-72 degrees.
