Fosty's 5.5 Gallon

I finally got to start my 5.5 gallon tank on its new stand. I made the stand completely out of materials we had laying around (old 2x4's, old pressboard, old paint). I finished construction of the stand in about 4 hours, but it took a week or so until I finished painting it. I also refinished the canopy which I had built a few years ago and was looking pretty crappy. Here's some pictures of the stand construction:

The Equipment:
Perfecto 5.5 Gallon Tank
Two 19 Watt Daylight (6500K) Spiral CF Bulbs w/ reflectors (thanks Jdinh04)
Red Sea Nano Filter w/ custom Aquaclear Foam insert
Regular Jet Black Gravel mixed with Black Moon Sand (plus Flourish Root Tabs)
No Heater (until winter)

The Fish:
8 Endler's Livebearers (still really really small)
Whatever algae eating shrimp I get for cheap (probably Cherry Shrimp)
4 Olive Nerite's

The Plants:
Glosso
Dwarf Hairgrass (thanks scolley)
Petite Anubias Nana

I will post some pictures of the actual layout later when I finish planting the anubias and the glosso.

I would suggest using 2 coralife 10 watt bulbs instead of those 19 spirals. I use 1 19 spiral on a 1 g with no co2, so it's weak.

They work great, I just flattened them out a tiny bit and screwed them in, I couldn't be happier with them. BTW, how did the filter work out ? (Sorry, getting off topic)

I know the spirals are not very efficient, but is it really bad enough that 10 watts of the coralife bulbs is better than 19 watts of the spiral CF? Also, if I would switch to two 10 watt bulbs, would I still be able to count it as a high light tank? BTW, turtlehead, I would love if this tank looked as good as your 1 gallon.

I plan on using Flourish Excel and dosing NPK and micros through E.I.

Haven't used it yet, decided to use a Tetra Whisper 10.
