5g nano

Here is a photo of my little 5g nano that I setup at my work. I am not in the office very much and the person I share a desk with has started to get annoyed that the first thing people do when they come into the room is go to our desk and look at the fish tank, hehehe.

Daily ferts via liquidoser:
excel
tropica master grow
botanica iron

2x a week ferts:
phosphate via enema
nitrate via stump remover

30-40%water change once a week with RO/tap mix

substrate is aquasoil amazonia in the back and sand in the front

lighting:
19w spiral compact and Gomer's custom designed reflector for that bulb

Originally the background consisted of Isoetes sp. and I planned to have a pair of Apisto. trifasciata, but things have changed and I now have a small group of Sundanio axelrodi "blue", a pair of sparkling gouramis, and the plants consist of Hemianthus micranthemoides, Elatine orientalis, Ranunculus, weeping moss, and Anubias nana var. petite. I am planning on replacing the weeping moss with a moss that attaches and removing the Ranunculus.

NICE! Tank looks great. How long did it take to get it to where it is now?

I started the tank in the end of April and I had Isoetes sp. for the background. I added the HM as the background about 1 month ago and it still has a lot of growing in to do. The tank is still very young, but the wood is starting to take on a nice aged look.

The growth is slow but steady with just the excel for co2 addition. The tank is really low maintainence and I trim it about every 3-4 weeks and clean the glass with a razor blade every 2 weeks.

Looks great. I can send you some Taiwan Moss. It adheres to rock and wood very well.
