I recently acquire the aforementioned tank used. I'm new to planting so I was hoping for some suggestions for scaping and stocking.

some crypts and vals won't do you wrong. almost all of the common ones are very tolerant of lower light and will fill in the tank rather quickly once they adjust and root in.

Would shrimp be a good fit for a tank this size? Will they climb to the top if I have scaping that high?

I was hoping to take a long piece of driftwood and attach moss where it looks like one tall tree in the hex.
