Fluval Spec 2g CO2 Diffuser

I am currently using a Hagen CO2 system with a bubble ladder in my Spec. I would like to switch to something smaller (for aesthetics) as well as to improve CO2 concentrations in the water.

Any ideas or suggestions? I would be comfortable spending up to around $40-$50.

you can get the fluval ceramic diffuser for around $11 or the nano GLA diffuser from greenleafaquariums.com for 15$ plus shipping

Will the nano ceramic diffusers work with a passive yeast CO2 system? I didn't think there would be enough pressure for them to push bubbles through the disc.

Normal ones will but atomizers will not.

Maybe a fine air stone in front of the pump in the back?

The nano ones on ebay work with a diy system.

I just started using cigarette filters jammed into the airline tube. Works awesome and the bubbles it creates are just as fine as the ones that come from my ceramic diffuser.

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 2.

I have heard of the cig. filter before. It think I may try that to start and then work my way up from there.

Do you have to replace the filters often?
