Gus' 6G Edge DIY LED conversion

Just put together my LED strips last night and did an initial hardscape this afternoon.

Equipment
Fluval Edge 6G first-gen
Stock AC20 HOB
Dual LED strips with 5050SMD (5600K and 7500K)
2x MR16 4W 7000K bulbs (440 Lumen)
Aquatek CO2 regulator w/ 24oz paintball
Rhinox bubble counter and drop checker

Substrate
Fluval Plant Stratum
UPAqua Shrimp sand

Fauna
Shrimps at some point and possibly a dwarf puffer

Flora
HC carpet
Red Bacomba
suggestions?

Here are the LED strips after I put them together. Light now reaches the corners easily.

Suggestions welcome on my hardscape.

Are you going for an iwagumi-ish scape? I'm no expert, but I would prefer more height with your rocks. The rocks will get lost under HC and you will lose those focal points, if that's your intention in the first place. That's unless you're planning for easier maintenance with this tank of course.

I thought about that but if I got larger ones then maintenance would be a real PITA with that small opening. Hopefully this way I can keep up with HC trimming a lot easier. Last night I though about rescaping the whole thing and doing a big slope with the rocks on the slope and all my foreground plants at the bottom of the slope with just HC on top.
