Hey! I already have a crown tail red male in there. Is heavily planted.

Can I put a female in there?

That guy is as boring as my grandma's fat cat. I called that cat "the living rug", it was like a furry flounder.

A heavily planted shrimp tank is possible!

nope. b. splendens males cannot be kept with any other b. splendens. the only exception would be if you have a incredibly passive male that could be kept with a female (there are a few reports of these, but they are very very rare), or a very very large tank, in which the male would only consider part of the tank his territory.

add some shrimp. some bettas will try to eat RCS, others will ignore them. full grown amanos however shouldnt be attacked as they are as big as a betta.
