2g nano

So im starting a 2g planted tank with shrimps and snails. Colomba sp?, baby tears (regular and giant), glosso, anubias nana are my plants right now. I have a 13w cf over it with a nano filter. What do you think of my lighting? Should I start dosing since its a new tank? Liquid CO2 dosing needed (dont want pressurized)?

Nice little tank! Sorry I don't know anything about dosing so I can't help there.

I dont think you will have much luck with HC if you dont have any source of carbon. I have heard it does ok with just Excel but I wasnt having much luck till I added co2 where it took off like crazy.

When I had HC I didn't use dosing and it grew pretty well, probably not as fast as others would like....but it grew none the less.

thanks guys! im getting excel and flourish soon so ill be dosing as soon as i get it. the cabomba stems are breaking off but i think thats due to a lack of CO2. hopefully the excel will help.
