$2 Nano Tank

Everything i see in the grocery "could be used for the aquarium" so when i saw these drink dispensers for only $2 i couldnt resist !
I decided to use them for my betta fry, they are approx 1 gallon and have the added bonus of a built in dispenser for easy WC :-)

...thats rather clever actually, but the water dispenser doesn't upset the substrate does it? I'd also be worried if I wanted to keep shrimp cause I could see them flying out of that easily
Also, is that a sword in there? lol

The dispenser is conveniently pretty high up so the substrate is about 1-2" lower so it dosent suck the substrate. Ha ha i could see i shrimp having a great time on "the waterslide" LOL

The only plant i had available at the time was a sword :-)

That is a really brilliant idea! I love it for things that need frequent WC's! I have a big glass 3 gallon dispenser with a pretty metal dispenser sitting out in my garage... hmmm... I bet just putting a tiny bit of sponge inside the back of the spout would keep any little guys from being washed down!

i was thinking about super glueing a piece of sponge to the outlet, im sure any debris it collects will be picked off by the shrimp.

Wow, that would work perfectly in my kitchen window! I know what I am buying when I go grocery shopping on Friday lol! Although my husband will be disappointed when I don't fill it with lemonade...

I just figured out what I want to do with my trimmings. Was going to do a bowl but couldn't find a decent one under $15. Thanks for the great idea.

They only had 1 left and it was orange tinted, so I just couldn't do it.
